Inspiration from Belicta Castelbarco
Following my inspiration from Belicta Castelbarco, I decided to attempt to creat my own illustration using the techniques he uses. Such as; bright colours, fashion cut outs and bright colours etc.. I think mine turned out really well and can see the clear link, I think this could be one of the techniques I use in my up and coming second year of college.

Belicta Castelbarco

I have been really obsessed with this illustrator 'Belicta Castelbarco', All these collections contain brightness and oddity. The way he connects the random objects creates a beautiful story that we as viewers can some way connect to. I think the fashion illustrate in this way would not only create an image that would be unique to work with but would also be a piece of art in itself. I am going to take some of this inspiration and apply it to some of my illustrations, by making a unique fashion collage. Here are a few of the pieces of work I have picked out..

University Of Leeds

I went to the University Of Leeds on the 17th of June, and to be honest there wasn't much there that I had an interest in. There wasn't many of the students work out and it also didnt show you any sketchbooks or portfolios, so I didn't take many photographs.

I really loved this students work. It was a series of photographs, all linking together to create a story about the girl in the photos, I thought this work had really been thought out and had progressed to create backgrounds for the photographs etc..

Louise Gray

I am in love with the up and coming amazing fashion designer Louise Gray. She has featured in magazines such as; vogue, company and Bazaar and also jumped at the chance when top-shop approached her to work with her on a make up collaboration. Her most recent catwalk trends 'F13 HEY CRAZY'. Is featured with bright bold colours, geometric shapes, big impact make-up and an overstatement of killer heels. Inspiration from these pieces is a huge hit for me.

Leeds College Of Art, end of year degree show

On the 17th of June, I went to the Leeds College of Art end of year degree show. It was lovely to see all the students work that had originated from my college. It showed me what I could achieve and it really made me excited. It makes me realize that I need to get researching into a lot more of future careers.

There wasn't much art works that genuinely inspired me, but I loved this series of art work that had been collected together by one student. She had produced a series of drawings, photography and 3D work that created a huge wall art piece. All the colours were bright and beautiful and really stood out.

All of these Fashion pieces in the Leeds College of Art  year degree show, were made so professionally. The blue/ grey dress looks beautiful, I would love to design something that exquisite.

The University Of Salford

On the 16th of June I attended The University Of Salford End of year Degree show. I had an amazing time looking at all of the beautiful work. There wasn't much that gave me inspiration from the fashion department but it was fun looking at the university.
All the fashion work showed the processes of the planning, designing and creating. It was really inspirational to look throughout these, it gave me a few ideas.

A lot of the art work throughout the university was very unique. This piece, was a piece of fabric that had been sewn to look and give the image of paper. The writing on the 'paper' were poems and heart warming conversations. I would love to do something like this.

MMU End Of Year Degree Show

The past few days I have visited numerous End of Year Degree shows and MMU was the first. I attended on the 15th June, There was many pieces from existing students and they were all absolutely amazing. Here are a few photographs from my favourite pieces. I was given a lot of inspiration and gave me so much more enthusiasm on what I want to do in the Future! Many of the pieces that was on display was all finished and completed with sketchbooks, this was good to have a look at there stages onto their final outcomes. A lot of the students had looked into the colour and themes, which I think I need to look into more throughout my briefs.

These two pieces were from the textiles side to fashion. In the course as MMU they look into pattern design and how apply them to certain fabric. Designing and illustrating on Photoshop to apply to things such as; wallpaper, cards, fabric. You can see the clear link of the collection throughout these pieces through the colour and pattern illustrations. Every students work looked bright and exciting and this would be something I would like and probably enjoy in my future. I am going to look into a lot more illustrators and textile pattern designers.

These photographs were from the fashion department of the MMU. They showed you different collections that the students had produced over there two degree time. They had created the design also on the garments, which are all really intricate. Unfortunately their was no sketchbooks for these collections, which was difficult to see their starting point. But I loved to look at all the students work to give me some ideas for the future.
